What Vaccinations are required?
We require your dog to be vaccinated against Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo/Distemper and Leptospirosis. We also require the dogs to be on a flea and tick preventative. We want to be sure all dogs are happy and healthy!
Do you require a meet and greet?
Yes and by appointment only! We require a meet and greet with our three rescue dogs and cat Bunker. We need to be sure that all dogs that come to daycare or boarding are pet and human friendly, If there are any signs of aggression, I'm sorry but your dog will not be allowed to stay. We strive to create the safest place possible for all the dogs. We realize that not all dogs play at the same level and it's important to see this on the initial greet and their first stay. We are always honest with our client family. If any issue arise, we will inform you and make necessary changes if needed. Any dogs coming into the home must also get along with or at least be able to live with our cat without incident.
Do you accept last minute meet and greets for new clients?
No. We will not set up "same day" meet and greets. Please understand that we run the business out of our home, so setting up a meet and greet needs to be scheduled accordingly.
We also require a full overnight stay before new dogs can board with us.
This will ensure that we are the right fit for your dog and they will be as happy and comfortable as possible. Please understand that this is non negotiable.
What are your dog daycare hours?
We accept clients Monday-Friday 7am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm. Occasional hour extensions can be arranged ahead of time at $15 per hour. We clean daily after the last dog family leaves to be sure it's clean and orderly for the next day.
Do you require my dog to be spayed or neutered?
No. Although it will left up to our discretion if your dog will be allowed in daycare or boarding. If a female dog is in heat, she will NOT be allowed to come and stay. There are many positive reasons you should spay and neuter your pets. We encourage you to research the benefits of doing so.
Do you allow dogs who "mark" indoors or that have destructive tendencies?
No.
Please read: Its important to remember that the dogs stay in our home and we need to keep our belongings as clean as possible and in an orderly fashion. If your dog marks repeatedly or is destructive at the initial meet and greet or during their stay with us, we reserve the right to refuse service AND charge additional fees. This will be discussed at the meet and greet. We always invite the families of potential clients to come and tour our home to see the condition of the property and to see where your dog will stay, play and learn.
*We do understand that for some dogs, the initial reaction for new dogs is to mark the space. If this does occur occasionally, we will wave the fees. If it continues to be a regular occurrence, we will inform you of the additional fees. Again, we are very honest with our client families, so if your dog does break, chew or destroy the property inside or outside we will inform you and charge you for the replacement costs.
Do you have a Questionnaire for families to fill out about the dog ?
Yes. This will be filled out during the initial meet and greet or emailed to you upon speaking.
Do you conduct any type of Temperament Test on the first visit?
Yes. We have an informal test that will help us determine if we have any recommendations for the dogs during their stay with us.
Do you accept puppies?
Of course!! The joy of seeing a puppy learn and grown into wonderful dogs is very rewarding for us. We all know that puppies often take extra care, so there is an extra $5 fee for puppy stays for both daycare and boarding. We are here to help them with good manners and to reinforce your training.
What form of payments do you take?
Cash, Check, Paypal and Zelle or Apple Pay
How many dogs do you allow at a time?
This will vary from day to day. We need to ensure dog and human safety, and we reserve the right to schedule dogs so that there aren't too many at the house at one time. Danielle is the main Doggieville daycare provider and we currently do not have additional employees unless Chris is home. We do understand that your work schedule does play a part in your needs and this will be discussed upon the initial meet and greet.
Will I get photos or videos of my beloved dog?
Danielle loves to capture all the dogs having fun, relaxing, or sleeping (doesn't everyone!). It is 100% okay to check in on your cuties at any time during their stay with us. If you'd like a photo that we take of your adorable dogs, let me know and we will text it to you for an additional charge of $5. Many of our photos have been framed, sent to family members and even put on Christmas cards!
Do you require to know when I will drop off or pick up my dog?
Yes, we require open communication with transportation needs you have, which includes drop off and pick up times. For the safety of all in the home, we like to know when your dogs will arrive and when they will leave. It's important for the security of all dogs and humans at the front doors or gates. Safety is very important to us.
